A very warm welcome to Imperial College Lion Dance Society. This is a cultural society where we promote the culture of the Lion Dance. There are 2 types of lion dance, namely the northern lion dance and southern lion dance. In Imperial College, we perform the northern lion dance. We have 2 young graceful lions which can perform great stunts. We are invited to perform for special occasions such as the opening of new shops, Chinese New Year celebrations, and cultural performances around universities in London. We perform Lion Dance routines incorporating impressive stunts, kicks and jumps flared by the beat of traditional chinese drums and other percussion instruments. Training is held every Saturday from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
